Dental specialists complete two to six extra years of training after dental school and usually work on referral from a general dentist, although most accept patients who call directly. Orthodontists straighten teeth with braces and clear aligners; endodontists handle root canals; periodontists treat gum disease and place implants; oral and maxillofacial surgeons extract wisdom teeth, place implants and do jaw surgery, often under IV sedation; prosthodontists rebuild smiles with crowns, bridges and dentures; denture centers focus on full and partial dentures, relines and repairs. Sedation and hospital dentists serve anxious patients and people with special needs, while TMJ and sleep-apnea dentists make oral appliances for jaw pain and snoring.

Merritt Island is in Florida, in the Southeast, where summers are long, hot and humid, winters are mild, and afternoon thunderstorms and the hurricane season from June to November can change plans at short notice. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and Merritt Island follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

Iβve had a similar experience as the most recent complaints posted. I had dr Somoray in the Orlando office make me upper & lower partials about six months ago. Had go back for an adjustment but to the Merritt Island office got some bs excuse that they had move out b/c of rent dispute. She took my upper specs and said they should be back from the lab in 10 days to 2 weeks. I called after that and found out the Merritt Island office was closed only Rockledge was open. Called every other day or so when I did finally speak to someone I asked for my partial back. Was told it was with lab still. I asked for the lab name to call and find out if I could pick them up. Andrea said she had to find from Somoray which one. Two days later crickets. Out $4500. Somoray had to know what was going on & said nothing. File a complaint with dept of health this week. A suit should be filed by all of us that were screwed. Iβm in if others want to

My Mother started treatment with Dr Aloul in February 2026 and had 5 implants and a temporary prosthesis done. In June she was supposed to have a follow up and start the fitting for a permanent one. The practice lost all their doctors and effectively shut down without any communication. Nothing on their answering system, web site. Nothing in writing to patients under treatment. We have since transferred to another practice, but havenβt been able to recover the dental records, nor to recover the money we paid for the part of the treatment we paid in advance. Have filed complaints with the FL Health Department and preparing to file suit for patient abandonment, withholding medical records and failure to provide a refund for services paid for but not provided.

They are lucky to get 1 star. My mother has been a patient for a while now and they have done nothing but screw up her partial and now there is no one at the office. She has paid thousands of dollars to have a partial that is totally screwed up. This is ridiculous service.

DO NOT EVER GO TO FLORIDA PROSTHODONTICS!! Meritt Island office is closed. They are no longer Florida Prosthodontics. The practice was sold to a corporation. I believe they are now Lasting Smiles. They lied to everyone! I had bottom implants put in by a doctor who was awful. Next I know he is gone. Phones donβt work most of the time. Many people were scammed by this corporate takeover. Just be aware the it says FLORIDA PROSTHODONTICS on the door but that is NOT who owns the practice. I am filing complaints with the Florida Dept of Health, Florida Board of Dentistry, The Attorney Generalβs office, possibly Channel 13 News and whoever else I can.

My 15 years old daughter finished her orthodontics treatment in January and started here with Dr. Aaron Ramon for a dental bridge. Her last appointment was supposed to be April 23rd, we stopped by, one front office girl said they don't have power and they don't have the bridge and they will call me for a new appointment date. 10 days after, nobody called me and nobody answered the phone and all of their offices (even different location) are closed. So I think they are permanently closed. We lost $2000 and 4 month and without a dental bridge and maybe have to redo the orthodontics. And nobody called me explain what's going on, even they close, should they return my payment? I feel after they collected money at the first appointment, they couldn't care less about their patients, they don't even care their patients receive the treatments or not. I don't know if I should start consultant with a lawyer to get my money back.

After seeing so many dentists who either turned me away or didnβt understand my condition, I finally found someone who truly cared: Dr. Ramon at Florida Prosthodontics. I live with a rare autoimmune disease called Scleroderma, which has made getting dental treatment extremely difficult. But Dr. Ramon didnβt just treat me like another patientβhe took the time to research my condition and explore safe, realistic options for getting me dentures. From my very first visit, I felt welcomed, understood, and supported. The entire team at his office was kind, patient, and made me feel at ease. For the first time in a long time, I left a dental office feeling hopeful. Dr. Ramonβs compassion and professionalism truly set him apart. Iβm so grateful for his care, and I would highly recommend him to anyoneβespecially those living with complex medical conditions. He gave me more than a treatment plan. He gave me back a sense of possibility. Odilka Hamilton

Review for Dr. Jennifer Somoray βββββ (5/5 Stars) I had salivary gland cancer and underwent a parotidectomy and neck dissection, followed by 33 radiation treatments to ensure I was cancer-free. As part of my treatment, I had 14 teeth removed on the side of my neck surgery, which left me in need of full dental reconstruction. Dr. Jennifer Somoray did an outstanding job in replacing all of my teeth. The fit is perfect, they look beautiful, and they feel completely natural. Her knowledge, expertise, and attention to detail truly made a difference in my recovery and quality of life. Beyond her exceptional skill, Dr. Somoray showed genuine care and compassion throughout the process, ensuring that my prosthetics were both functional and aesthetically flawless. I am incredibly grateful for her work and would highly recommend her to anyone in need of prosthodontic or maxillofacial dental care. Thank you, Dr. Somoray, for giving me back my smile! π

I truly cannot say enough about this office and professional people here. They all are fabulous! I especially want to thank Dr Steven for his work on me and helping to make me want to smile again!!!! Love my new teeth and smile. He has it all, making me feel so comfortable at the dentist, having always had a severe fear of dental procedures. He is a perfectionist and teeth MUST be right to pass his inspection and he works diligently to make sure they ARE right and fit you properly and to your satisfaction. THANK YOU TO DR STEVEN and his staff!!! I highly recommend this office and Doctor to anyone who wants or needs dental work. They all are truly wonderful.
